WOMEN & GIRLS RUGBY

LEADING THE WAY FOR FEMALES IN RUGBY

Harbour Rugby’s purpose is to “Improve Lives, Through Rugby”, one of our guiding principles in the female space is to provide a safe and enjoyable game for all to enjoy. Harbour is the 3rd largest female playing population in New Zealand and growing at 10% year on year. We are proud of how our female players have embraced our non-contact rugby options of Rippa and Rip Rugby and shown the rest of the country that non-traditional rugby offerings are just as important to the sustainability of our sport.

GIRLS RUGBY

We have both contact and non-contact options for girls as well as the introduction of our two in school girls only rugby programmes, Rugby Stars and Rugby Leaders. These two programmes are designed to help our young wahine learn about hauora, enjoy being active and create our future leaders in sport.

WOMEN'S RUGBY

We have both contact and non-contact options for girls and women we are also proud of our growing contingent of non-playing females these being coaches, referees and administrators. Keep an eye out for our female only coaching and refereeing courses being held in 2024.
