OFFICIAL REFEREES

Refereeing puts you right at the centre of the excitement and action of rugby. You’ll develop life skills, challenge yourself physically and mentally, meet new people and have fun! There are also development pathways available for referees who aspire to be involved at the highest levels of the game.

North Harbour Rugby Referees Association will support you as you learn and develop the skills required to referee, from first year referees right through to those pursuing higher honours.

"YOU MAKE THE CALL" REFEREE SCHOLARSHIP

North Harbour Rugby are offering FOUR packages valued at $500 to those who completed the You Make The Call programme and who wish to further pursue refereeing. 

Successful applicants will receive:

$200 ASICS gift card

$200 Fuel voucher

$100 Prezzy Card

To be eligible:

Applicants will have completed the You Make The Call refereeing programme offered in North Harbour secondary schools, and will register as a referee for the upcoming 2026 season. Along with the scholarship package, they will receive on-going refereeing support and education, and the standard member benefits of the NHRRA.
