From the Championship winning Rosmini side of 2015, this 3rd year building apprentice cut his teeth in the Harbour Rugby circles in both 15s and 7s, and joined the QBE North Harbour Rugby Pathways programme in February this year. The 20-year-old first represented Harbour at U19 level in 2016, and played for the Senior Men's Sevens side at the Nationals earlier this year. He has played for the North Shore Premiers for the last 2 years, and was actually at work on a building site when he received ‘The Call’ from Head Coach Tom Coventry, but it posed a bit of an awkward problem.
“My boss was actually in Hawai’i and I had to ring him and let him know I would be unavailable for the next 14 weeks“ he said.
Apologies to the boss James, but congrats on the nod and we can’t wait to see you in that Hibiscus on the big stage!
First game for Our Boys this Thursday v Northland Rugby Union, 7:35pm, QBE Stadium.
