Kenny Addison Announced as North Harbour NPC Assistant Coach
Kenny started his coaching journey in New Zealand, with the Under 21 side at Takapuna for a couple of years before transitioning into coaching premier rugby. That was followed by moving to lead the senior programme at Kumeu. Kenny has spent the last five years coaching the Harbour development side. More recently he has reaffirmed his credentials with winning the 2023 under 20s title with the Blues.
With the recent appointment of Steve Jackson as Black Ferns assistant coach, the opportunity has arisen for Kenny to be promoted to the role of NPC assistant coach. It demonstrates there is a genuine pathway for coaches involved in Harbour community rugby, transitioning into representative rugby and ultimately achieving a professional coaching contract.
North Harbour Rugby CEO Adrian Donald is delighted to see Kenny’s progression into coaching in the Bunnings NPC, and it is an exciting opportunity for Kenny to join the experienced group of Dan Halangahu and Ben Afeaki for the 2023 campaign. Kenny starts his new role on the 1st May. He will also be actively involved in the community clubs as well through this period.
