A great opportunity has arisen for the role of Performance Analyst at North Harbour Rugby. The successful applicant will form an integral part of our High Performance Rugby Programme and will lead and manage the analysis space for both the performance and community divisions within the North Harbour Rugby Union.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The position is a fixed term contract from February 1st 2022 – 30th November 2023 and can be fulfilled either as an employee or as a contractor. The Performance Analyst will be responsible for providing performance and statistical analysis services to North Harbour Rugby and will work closely with the Head of Performance and High Performance Coaching Team to aid team and player performance, alongside talent identification.

For the first half of the year (February – June) the applicant will be expected to oversee the Club Rugby Analysis Program within the community space whilst also supporting the High Performance Development Programs as we build toward the annual NPC competition. This will involve a part time commitment, blending the opportunity to work in the field, from the office and will also have flexibility to work from home.

For the second half of the year (July – November) the applicant will be expected to operate in a full time capacity as the Lead Analyst for the Bunnings Cup NPC team whilst also providing analysis support for other High Performance Programs.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

The successful applicant will require a basic understanding of rugby union knowledge. They will also have experience within a team environment working in an analysis related capacity. It is expected that you have a thorough understanding of Hudl SportsCode software and an accompanying skillset that enables you to interpret data and create impactful presentations and reports to provide feedback.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are incredibly important for liaising with teams, coaches and players. There is a need to be highly organised and able to prioritise work effectively. You will be outcome driven and enjoy working towards goals and objectives and a strong attention to detail will be vital whilst also ensuring all work is delivered in a timely manner to the highest standard.
