Once again FUJIFILM Business Innovation New Zealand is right behind one of the highlights of the season in the North Harbour region with their support of 1st XV rugby.

In 2021 the FUJIFILM Business Innovation 1st XV competition will feature eight schools starting this Saturday 8 May until semis early August and then the Grand Final to be held mid August.

FUJIFILM Business Innovation Marketing Communications Manager, Kevin Ptak, said it is great to reaffirm the partnership with Harbour Rugby.

“In this third year of our partnership, 1st XV Rugby continues hold a special place at our company and in the Rugby ecosystem in New Zealand and we are proud to be the presenting partners for this year’s 1st XV competition.”

“The passion and pride demonstrated throughout the secondary school and youth rugby season is a really special thing to be a part of. We also appreciate the way Harbour Rugby promote their own to achieve at the higher levels, with 16 of the 2020 NPC squad players attending a secondary school in the North Harbour province.”

“From all of us here at FUJIFILM Business Innovation, we wish the players and support staff all the best as the season kicks off this weekend.”

The competing schools are; Massey High School, Orewa College, Rangitoto College, Rosmini College, Takapuna Grammar, Westlake Boys High School, Manurewa High School, Whangarei High School.

Harbour Rugby Chief Executive David Gibson is pleased to have FUJIFILM Business Innovation returning to the fold once again.

“We have a great relationship with Kevin and his team, and we are excited to see the partnership continue. There is a real willingness shown by FUJIFILM Business Innovation every year to do things differently to provide the best possible experience for all participants at this level”.

“There is no better example of this by the support shown as the Union introduced a number of changes to the youth system in 2021. Pleasingly, we have seen secondary school and youth teams increase from 70 in 2020 to 91 this year,” said Gibson.
