An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a General Manager for North Harbour Rugby Union.

North Harbour Rugby encompasses a geographical area that takes in 12 rugby clubs from the region bounded by three Harbours, Mahurangi, Waitemata and Kaipara.

The North Harbour senior side plays in the prestigious Mitre 10 Cup which is recognised as the world’s strongest domestic rugby competition; the Harbour squad topping the table in 2016 and gaining promotion to the Premiership. We are also proud to boast a strong line-up of representative teams that take part in both national and regional competitions; approximately 75 secondary school teams, and almost 350 primary school teams – in total over 10,000 registered players.

The General Manager will be an inspirational leader who can execute strategy across both the commercial and community aspects of the business and be responsible for providing strong leadership for the Union’s staff, as well as Clubs and other stakeholders. 

You are likely to be tertiary qualified and have proven commercial success in managing a business; thriving on achieving results. Excellent communication skills will mean that you can navigate relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, as well as being able to mentor and enable a great team of people to even greater success.
