2017 Recreational Services Club of Origin One Kicks Off Sunday 13 August

The 2017 Recreational Services Club of Origin One Kicks Off this Sunday 13 August at East Coast Bays
RFC, Windsor Park. 14 teams are entered for the first of two sessions, 6 x Under 17 Open, 4 x Under
15 Open and 4 x Under 15 Restricted Weight. It is anticipated there will be more entries at the
second session to be held Sunday 10 September at a venue to be advised. Games commence at 1pm
with each team playing two games in a 10 aside format. No scores are kept and the programme is
designed to maintain the links players had with their club as juniors whilst playing secondary school
rugby to ensure they return to club rugby after leaving school. Games will complete at 4pm and as
each team finishes Union staff will provide a free sausage and drink. The Mire 10 Cup squad will be
training at Bays earlier in the day and will mix and mingle with the players prior to the first round of
games then watch the action.
Many thanks to Recreational Services for their sponsorship of the Club of Origin programme for the
second season.
