Welcome Back Luke!

Luke McAlister makes his long awaited return to QBE Insurance North Harbour in this Friday’s match against Tasman at North Harbour Stadium.

Having played in the English Premiership and Heineken Cup for two years, all fans will welcome his return to the Air New Zealand Cup from a short stint with the All Blacks.

“McAlister is class, we all know that, so this is good news.  There’s a strong likelihood we could have an All Black trio of backs available - Rudi Wulf, Luke McAlister and Anthony Tuitavake” said Coach Craig Dowd.

QBE Insurance North Harbour have kept their feet on the ground after beginning their season with a win against Canterbury, the 2008 champions.

“While we got the result against Canterbury, its our first step of many” said Anthony Tuitavake, Captain of QBE Insurance North Harbour.  “Tasman played well against a tough Taranaki team last week, so we know we have a big challenge on Friday night. I’m sure Luke will be keen to contribute to another big team effort.”

McAlister will train with the team at 12.30pm this Wednesday at North Harbour Stadium.
