Kia ora,
Rugby World Cup 2011 is our chance to be the best hosts in the world. We are now recruiting for volunteers to help make this event successful – and unforgettable.
Fronted by Volunteer Ambassador and legendary New Zealand player Michael Jones, the Volunteer Programme will enlist the help of over 5,000 volunteers, with a range of responsibilities.
So if you are at least 17 years of age* and would like to be involved, the first step is to attend one of 38 public forums being held across New Zealand. These forums are designed to provide anyone interested in being a volunteer with details on the roles, registration process and expectations of what will be required. For a list of all public forum dates and locations, please see below.
For those who are not able to attend a public forum, please familiarise yourself with the information at www.rugbyworldcup.com/volunteer to ensure you are eligible and select the volunteer positions you wish to register for. Registrations will be open to the public from 14 July via a link from the above website.
We thank you for your interest in volunteering for RWC 2011 and look forward to your involvement!
Kind regards
The Volunteer Team
