Game Highlights
Harbour came from behind to sneak a try 4 minutes from time to beat Northland 24-20 at Helensville on Saturday. The weather once again brought the spectators and a game that delivered some fantastic tries from both teams. The Harbour forwards showed all class by dominating the game and that's where the tries came from. In front at half-time but downwind in the 2nd half almost cost Harbour the game. A gifted penalty in front of the post to seal the game became a nightmare when a quick tap was spilled forward and Northland gained momentum by scoring two quick tries to lead 20-19. Paitence was the key in the end and a Chris Eves charing bull run saved the day. As they say "it's not over 'till the Fat Lady sings".
Well done Boys!

Game Highlights
Harbour travelled to Puni to play the 2007 champion in a pre-season fixture in atrocious weather which improved during the game. Counties scored early from a penalty try then their backs ran riot racking up 22 points in the first half. Harbour came back at the end of the first 40 minutes with a try and conversion to Daniel Airey/Matt Clark. The Harbour forwards had the better of Counties in the second half but some errors let the Countie' s awesome backline back in to extend their score. Harbour came back at the end of the day with try to Rob Davies from a planned move which started from their own 22. The teams now head to the Northern Region Maori tournament at Ardmore-Marist RFC in Counties 29 February/1 March.

North Harbour 22, Waikato 12
Point Scorers: Chris Eves, Dominic Stanley, Baden Woodman, Hema Tarkaru Tries, Matt Clarke 1 Conversion
Game Highlights
Harbour played controlled rugby to beat Waikato 22-12 at Kaipatiki Park. The weather was perfect for the spectators and for the players the heat and litres of water consumed saw some very entertaining rugby played at the highest level. Credit to the coaching staff for their short conditioning program and pre-season trainings but in the positive way a good start for the campaign. The scores locked at 7 all at the break Harbour showed composure and used the tail wind to win the game 22-12.
