Primary Schools Tournament

PST Update  
The North Harbour Primary School’s Tournament is in full swing. Tournaments involving East Coast Bays, Glenfield, Takapuna, & Silverdale School’s have been held. All the teams have been training hard and the early front runner’s to represent NHRU at the first National Rippa Rugby World Cup are Campbells Bay, Browns Bay, Glenfield, Birkdale, Belmont, Milford, Warkworth and Silverdale. Once the semi finalists are found, they will be invited to North Harbour Stadium to play off for the grand prize.

 

2011 PST Information and Dates

With just under a week till the first Primary School’s Tournament of year (14/04/2011). Excitement is beginning to build towards the most exciting schedule since the tournament began.

Teams will play qualifying tournament in their regions to earn the right to represent their region at this inaugural event. Visit the North Harbour Rugby website closer to August for details on the progress of the North Harbour Primary Schools.

20 Primary School teams from across New Zealand will participate and represent/adopt a country that is participating in the actual 2011 RWC. Along with the honour of representing their school, province and their adopted country, each child will have a fun packed exciting two days while they attend the tournament. With Auckland City Council as the driving force behind the tournament the council has called on a variety of partners across the region to entertain, nourish and amaze the children lucky enough to be involved.

Some of the follow attractions will be on offer to the group, Sky Tower tours, Kelly Tarlton’s, Auckland Zoo, Harbour Bridge Walks, other partners involved include Sanitarium, NZRU, Powa Products

The Primary Schools Rugby Tournament is an annual 10-a-side Rugby Tournament for all Primary Schools in the North Harbour Rugby Region. This year will be the 8th year in operation and in that time it has grown to be the largest Primary School Tournament of its kind in the country.

Dates and Venues for all Modules

All module field days are scheduled for a Thursday in the week of play. All teams are to be assembled by 9.40am for a 10.00am start with games finished and departure at 1.30pm.

Kumeu Module
Location: Kumeu RFC, Riverhead War Memorial Domain, Riverhead.

Massey Module
