POSITIONS VACANT: MAORI HEAD COACH
North Harbour Rugby Union Amateur Representative Teams (Voluntary)
The North Harbour Rugby Union is now seeking applications for Head Coaching positions for the following Amateur Maori Representative Teams for the 2011 season:
Successful candidates will have:
- A sound knowledge of the current skills, techniques and tactics required at representative level
- Proven history and experience in coaching, specifically in the grade for which they are applying
- Recent history of qualifications and/or regular attendance to coach development opportunities
- Ability to effectively communicate to players, parents, coaches, clubs and schools
- An understanding and willingness to integrate North Harbour philosophies of development and performance into team programme
- An understanding of the tikanga (unique nature) of Maori rugby and how that might be best portrayed on and off the field

Tournament Information
In 2009 North Harbour hosted the Te Hiku O Te Ika Northern Region Maori Tournament at the Glenfield Rugby Club, winning the Senior Mens grade.
In 2011 North Harbour will be fielding Mens and Colts (U21) teams and will play two weekend competition games prior to the finals day at Rotorua on March 5th.
