Rugby
is a great game to play and if you are a boy or girl under13 years old,
then you can have fun, develop skills, get fit and make friends by
registering with your local club.
North Harbour Junior Rugby operates in eight grades all based on a weight/age system, meaning you play against kids your own age and size.
If your 5 or 6 you can play rugby too!
Rugby
for Under 7s is non-contact with kids playing Rippa Rugby or Two-handed
Touch. You can learn all the skills without the tackling! Best of all
under 7s is played in local modules, so games are never far away.
Rugby is a team sport, so it’s a great way to meet lots of new friends and play with your mates while developing new skills each week.
Parents can get involved too!
Teams
are always looking for assistance and The North Harbour Rugby Union
provides free NZRU education and development to all registered coaches
and referees to help them make the game fun for everyone.
The season runs from April to August, with an end of season knockout tournament in September. With 11 junior clubs in from Warkworth to Devonport and everywhere in between, where ever you live, there is a club near you.
Contact Cory Sweeney at North Harbour Rugby Union on (09) 447 2114 or cory@harbourugby.co.nz to find out how you can join a club near you!
