PLAYERS REACH MILESTONES FOR QBE INSURANCE NORTH HARBOUR

Two QBE Insurance North Harbour players are set to reach milestones as they take field against Bay of Plenty this Saturday night at North Harbour Stadium.

QBE Insurance North Harbour Centre, Anthony Tuitavake will play his 70th game whilst fellow back Tusi Pisi will play his 50th game for the Union.

“Anthony and Tusi are influential members of the QBE Insurance North Harbour side and I congratulate them both on the milestones they are achieving, it sets a great example to the younger players in the squad to keep up the hard work and use the potential they have to hopefully reach a similar milestone themselves one day,” says QBE Insurance North Harbour Head Coach, Wayne Pivac.

Anthony Tuitavake first made his debut with QBE Insurance North Harbour as a 20 year old in 2001 and has enjoyed a successful career in rugby ever since.  Tuitavake has represented New Zealand at Sevens, U19s, Colts and Junior All Black level over the past six years and made his debut in the Super 14 competition in 2005 with the Highlanders before joining the Blues in 2006 and 2007.

Tusi Pisi made his debut in 2003 at 21 years of age and is the eldest of the three Pisi brothers selected in the QBE Insurance North Harbour squad for 2007.  Pisi has represented New Zealand at Sevens and U21 levels and made his Super 14 debut with the Crusaders earlier this year.  At the conclusion of 2007, Pisi is set to take up a contract at Toulon, France.

QBE Insurance North Harbour takes on the Bay of Plenty Steamers on Saturday 22 September, kick off 7.35pm at North Harbour Stadium.  Tickets are available now from Ticketek – www.ticketek.co.nz
