The Premier Club competition kicks off this weekend with the first round being played on one day, at one location, to launch the start of the 2009 season.
The earlier start to the season ensures all club teams retain their Air New Zealand Cup players for the entire Premier competition. North Harbour clubs have a great reputation for being dedicated supporters. So come along, check out the opposition and rub shoulders with Harbour coaches and ex-All Blacks Craig Dowd and Jeff Wilson.

What an awesome day for our budding Harbour players and families. Despite the drizzling rain over 300 kids came down to North Harbour Stadium on the weekend and showed their skills catching the high ball, pushing the scrum machine, testing their goal- kicking accuracy with a few tips from ex-All Black Mark Mayerhofler and developing their tackling skills against the 'tackle man'.
Kids were also given the opportunity to test their skills and have some fun with a game of Rippa Rugby. North Harbour and Blues players, Jimmy Gopperth and Rudi Wulf, were onboard to meet the kids and sign posters and rugby balls.
Thank you to Martin Cheer and the team at Pub Charity - The Heart of Community Funding, for making this day a roaring success.
